Center-Based ABA Therapy in Chicago

Structured, play-based applied behavior analysis in a boutique clinic environment — where children build skills alongside dedicated therapists under BCBA supervision.

Center-based ABA is one of the most effective settings for children who benefit from a consistent, distraction-managed environment with access to specialized learning materials, peer social opportunities, and a full clinical team. At Grounded & Growing, our Chicago clinic was designed with families in mind: warm cream-and-gold spaces that feel welcoming, not institutional.

What center-based ABA includes

Every child receives a 1:1 Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) matched to their personality and learning style. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) designs the individualized treatment plan, analyzes session data, adjusts goals, and meets regularly with caregivers. Sessions typically run 2–6 hours depending on medical necessity and authorization.

Communication & Language

Functional communication training, verbal behavior, AAC support, and social language in naturalistic contexts.

Social Skills Programs

Peer interaction, turn-taking, joint attention, and group learning opportunities in age-appropriate settings.

Adaptive & Daily Living

Self-care, feeding, toileting, and independence skills that support home and community participation.

Behavior Support

Evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behavior and teach replacement skills rooted in function.

School-based & community support

Beyond the clinic, our BCBAs collaborate with schools, daycares, and community programs across Chicago and Illinois. We provide consultation, behavior support plans, staff training, and direct therapy in educational settings when authorized — helping children generalize skills where they matter most.

Early intervention & social skills

Our early intervention ABA track serves toddlers from 18 months with developmentally appropriate, play-based teaching. Social skills groups and individualized programs help older children navigate friendships, emotion regulation, and classroom expectations.

Diagnostic & developmental assessments

Comprehensive behavioral assessments inform treatment planning and insurance authorization. While we do not replace a full medical diagnostic evaluation, our BCBA-led assessments identify skill deficits, behavioral functions, and priority goals for ABA therapy.
